The "Quickie" inflatable at the lake for it's first paddle. The plywood spacers also serve as backrest and footbrace. Cost to build was about $75.00US and build time was one 9 hour session. Constructed of 18oz PVC, It weighs 12 lbs including the spacers. If constructed of lighter weight 12oz PVC, weight could be reduced to about 9 lbs making it suitable for backpacking. All seams are glued with vinyl cement (no sewing). The objective in building the "Quickie" was to produce the simplist construction possible in the shortest amount of time.
